Funding Announcement: David Friday Memorial Fund
Learn and Thrive is a charity that supports learners with Down’s syndrome to access specialist support to help them learn and thrive. We use digital tools to give access to vital learning to children and young people with Down’s syndrome, for free, who struggle to access the support they need to succeed. The keyword here is 'charity', as we wouldn't be able to do what we do without the generous grants or donations that we are lucky enough to receive.
That's why we're really grateful to be announcing that we've been awarded a grant from The David Friday Memorial Fund through the Kent Community Foundation. Without aid like this, we wouldn't be able to continue delivering our free service to the Down's syndrome community.
About Kent Community Foundation (KCF)
KCF has been finding, funding, and supporting some of the smallest voluntary organisations in the county for 20 years. In this time, we have distributed over £50 million to support thousands of small charities and deserving causes where a modest sum of money can make a significant impact.
We are part of a UK wide accredited network of 47 Community Foundations that are committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated, and disadvantaged by matching those who want to help, with those who need the help.
Responsible for more than 90 philanthropic funds, Kent Community Foundation is unrivalled in its knowledge of local causes and assists individuals, families, and businesses, who want to help, to establish and administer their own charitable funds.

About David Friday Memorial Fund (DFMF)
The David Friday Memorial Fund was set up with KCF "To help and support disadvantaged children and young people within Kent, to further their education and training, in order to fulfil their potential". They administer it on the behalf of The David Friday Memorial Fund. If you didn’t know, our charity is based in Kent, but delivered nationwide, hence the award!
We genuinely couldn't be more appreciative of this and all of the other support that we receive. If you would like to read more about how we’re funded, you can do so below👇
