Heba: free support for those with learning differences

One-and-a-half million people in the UK have a learning disability. Amongst the younger members of this cohort, almost 20 percent of children have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) – all of whom will need various supports across different areas of their lives.

At Learn and Thrive, we’re working hard to support this group, along with their caregivers and medical teams. As is Heba, a care companion app designed by families, for families. Our values are incredibly well aligned, and so we are happy to share their work with you, our community, to bring to you another tool to support your child’s wellbeing and progress.

With features including a shareable care passport, reminder setting and a journal, Hibi keeps you across your child’s medications, appointments, care team and more. It can also store all of your child’s documents – and allows you to track things like mood, sleep, health symptoms, seizures, diet and more.

“I love being able to see trends over time,” says caregiver and Hibi user, Andrea Torres. “It is so incredibly helpful to be able to notice trends and changes and also to be able to share this information with my son’s therapeutic and medical teams when making plans for care.”

In addition to care-management tools, Hibi provides access to expert advice, guidance and a community of fellow caregivers. Offering both a comprehensive free version and premium subscription, with Hibi in hand you’ve got your child’s key information securely stored and all in one place – at your fingertips.

If you’d like to learn more about Hibi, visit their website or search for them on your preferred app store.
