Providing high-quality, inclusive, accessible education for our learners is only possible with the support of our sponsors and partners. Together we are giving young people the skills to thrive in adulthood.
Produced with 21 Together and using Widgit symbols and Makaton signing, this series explores the idea that our choices in life have consequences for our health, and examines different factors in this. Learning for Life is all about bringing strategies into learners’ every day lives. Further into the series we discuss harmful substances, the differences between illegal drugs and legal medicines. Discussing risky situations, to empower learners to make balanced decisions around harmful substances, including drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
As always, we encourage you to differentiate the teaching to the needs and learning level of your young person/people. This is encouraged throughout the Learning for Life project, but we also stress this in our resources on harmful substances. Please consider the level of discussion beforehand, to ensure you cater effectively to your learner; the project is made to be age-appropriate right up to young adulthood, so make sure you personalise it for your learner.
